NEPAL

WELCOME TO NEPALESE MOUNTAIN AND WELCOME TO NEPAL:

Nepal and its people make up for one of the most fascinating and spectacular destinations to spend time in.This tiny Himalayan country only relatively recently opened its borders to the outside world around sixty years ago. Nowadays people of all ages are presented with many different opportunities and choices to consider when choosing the type holiday to suit them. From outright adventure; trekking and mountaineering for example in the highest place on earth or perhaps rafting some of the best white water to be found and mountain biking the rugged trails. Many people choose a more leisurely type of holiday  with so much nature, heritage, religion and culture to explore and take in.

No matter what type of holiday you choose, the Himalayas  provide a stunning backdrop to any holiday here. The Mountains are a constant reminder that you are in the highest region of the world as they tower over the forested foothills and villages below.
The country has its own unique topography,it is neatly sandwiched between India to the south and Tibet to the north on a fault line where two distinct geographical regions interlock and overlap. The outcome is a very fascinating and compelling geographical setting.
Nepal's southern border with India is almost at sea level set in steamy sub tropical jungle, the terrain rises rapidly within a space of 200kms through the middle hills up to high alpine valleys that lead on to arid plateaus and glacier moraine. The eventual result of this rapid rise is an impressive altitude of over 8000 mtrs and the highest point on earth Mount Everest. Eight of the ten highest peaks in the world are situated within Nepals borders.

The Nepalese people are exotic, extremely friendly, naturally accepting and diverse in nature and are very much shaped by the weather and the environment they live in. More than thirty distinct ethnic groups live here with over seventy different languages and dialects spoken.
Skin tones range from fair Mongoloid tribes originating from Tibet and beyond, to dark skinned races who migrated north from the Indian plains many centuries ago. There are a large range of skin shades to be found in between, where people of different ethnic groups have married.
It is said festivals in Nepal outnumber the days in a year, hardly one goes by without a particular ethnic group or other having a reason to celebrate life.
