Day: 01. Arrival Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel:
Today you will be received by our representative at the Tribhuvan International Airport and you will be transferred to the assigned hotel in Kathmandu. Rest of the time you can enjoy just walking around or managing your Trekking Trip.
Day: 02. Sightseeing inside the Kathmandu valley:
On this day you can visit some cultural heritage sites like: Kathmandu Durbar Square, one of the ancient palace squares of the Kathmandu valley, where you can see the brilliant cultural architecture of Nepal; and afterwards Swayambhunath Stupa, an ancient and renowned Buddhist Monument on a hillock about 70m above the average Kathmandu Valley basin of 1350m. Then in the afternoon you can visit the biggest Stupa of Nepal named Bodhnath Stupa constructed in 5th Century AD.
Afterwards, you come back to your hotel and manage your packaging for the planned Trekking Trip.
After you come back to the Hotel, all necessary things for the Trekking Trip are discussed with your guide.
Day: 03. Drive from Kathmandu to Chame 2670m:
On this day you have a long drive of about 250 km from Kathmandu to Chame. You will enjoy the breathtaking landscapes and the mixing of traditional and modern house constructions in various villages. The greeneries, rivers and rivulets, terraces etc are the added advantages of this drive. The drive may take around 12 hours and in the night you will take rest in a lodge in Chame.
Day: 04. Trek from Chame to Pisang 3300m:
Your real trekking trip begins today going gradual upwards up to a beautiful traditional village area of Upper-Manang called Pisang. The walk of today may take around 5 to 6 hours. After arrival you can have a chance to visit the village and monastery at the other bank of the Marsyangdi River on slope. (waliking time about 5 hrs.)
Day: 05. Trek form Pisang to Manang 3540m:
Today you will continue the upper part of Manang consisting the upper wider Valley Marsyangdi river basin. Originally, the people of this region were the farmers rearing herds of yaks, Himalayan goats, Sheep and having single-season crops one the other side. These days, they have also other trading like tourism, business and many more.
Today, you have an option to go on the other side of the Marsyangdi river via Ghyaru and Ngawal, from where you have the great chance to view the gorgeous sides of the mountains line Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Gangapurna and other ridges up to Tilicho Peak etc. It may take little bit more time, but your journey full of sceneries and landscapes will be excessively memorable. On the way, you will see a small and old airstrip on the straight route of Hongde. Finally you reach your destination Manang at an altitude of 3500m. (walking time about 6 hrs.)
Day: 06. Day of acclimatization in Manang:
This day you have a free time for your acclimatization. You can just walk around or you can go along the Gangapurna Lake towards the Annapurna III base camp, from where you can have an amazing view of Manang Village and Annapurna Himalayas Range. Optional hiking duration around 3 hours.
Day: 07. Trek Manang to Shreekharka 4060m.
After breakfast, we start from Manang gradually via Khangsar Village to Shreekharka of Manang district. The initial ascent is little bit tough but very spectacular on the other side of the trail viewing Gangapurna, Khangsar Kang, Rock Noir, Tilicho Peak and on the backside horizon the other mountains, which we saw already since some three days. Eventually, we may see the Yaks, Mountain goats, and Bluesheep on our trail. Walking duration will be around 5-6 hours from Manang.
Day: 08. Hike up Shreekharka to Tilicho Lake 4920m walk around, back to lunch at Tilicho base camp 4150m and back for overnight to Shreekharka
After breakfast, we start today from Shreekharka to Tilicho Lake via Tilicho Base Camp. The way is not so steep or physically strenuous walk with sloppy landslide, moraine and impressive rocky area. But the trail is adventurous and interesting enough. After lunch in Tilicho Base Camp, we proceed gradually higher to the spectacular half-moon faced Tilicho lake nestled at the foot of Tilicho Peak. The lake is supposed to be the holy one, the description of which is written also in the holy literature of Ramayana.
As the weather permits, we can stay some half an hour at the bank of the lake and around for the lake view and pictures. Then we return to the last shelter of Shreekharka. Walking duration around 8 hours.
Day: 09. Trek from Shreekharka to Yak Kharka 4018m. ‘or’ Ledar 4200m.
As we leave Shreekharka and descend via Khangsar Village, we will go passing the ancient monastery named Tare Gumba, which is believed to be thousand years old. The monastery is highly valued by the people of the area. Hours after leaving Khangsar village, we walk further gradually downhill until we reach Thorong Khola valley. We will ascend gradually towards the grazing land of Yak Kharka. If we are fit and weather accompanies us in a desired manner, we can proceed further to Ledar, which makes the next day trip easier. Walking duration can be 5 to 6 hours.
Day: 10. Trek from Yak-Kharka ‘or’ Ledar to Thorong High Camp 4952m.
Today, we go little ahead and slope down to the Thorong Khola (River) and after crossing it we ascend to Phedi at 4440 meters. After lunch, we ascend gradual steep to the High Camp. After some 6 to 7 hours of walk, we reach the Guesthouse of High Camp.
Day: 11. Trek from Thorong High-Camp to Thorong-La Pass 5410m. and Muktinath 3800m.
Today, we continue the remaining steep climb gradually towards the Thorong La Pass and after the pass steep down to Muktinath, one of the holiest places for the Hindus and Buddhists of Nepal and India. If it snows on the pass, it may be little bit difficult. Otherwise, going slowly and drinking a lot of water will certainly be helpful for us. We will stay this night in Ranipauwa 3720m little downwards of the holy site of Muktinath 3800m.
Day: 12. Trek from Muktinath to Jomsom 2720m.
On this day, we walk gradually down up to Kagbeni around 2.5 to 3 hours at an altitude of 2800m. After lunch break we can proceed along the Kali Gandaki River towards Jomsom. The Kali Gandaki river is supposed to be holy as the Ganges in Nepal. In about 3 to 3.5 hours we reach Jomsom and we can celebrate our last evening with our Nepalese Team members bidding farewell formally who accompanied us since many days with the hardships of ups and downs. Total walking duration 6 to 7 hours.
Day: 13. Flight from Jomsom to Pokhara 850m.
This morning we fly from Jomsom to Pokhara. The spectacular flight takes around 20 minutes to Pokhara. On the right-hand side we see the Dhaulagiri range and Tukche Peak and on the left-hand side, we can see many others like Nilgiri range, Annapurna I, Annapurna South and finally other parts of Annapurna range. This day we have free time after checking in into the hotel in Pokhara.
Day: 14. Sightessing in the Pokhara
This day, we have a Sightseeing tour in Pokhara. We visit Old market and Bindabasini temple, Davis Fall, Tibetan Refugee camp little downwards of the Davis Fall and boating in the Fewa Lake. Late afternoon, we will have the free time to walk around along the Fewa Lake and market of Pokhara.
Day: 15. Fly/ Drive back to Kathmandu by Tourist Bus
Today, we Fly/ drive to Kathmandu from Pokhara by a standard Tourist Bus. It may take around 7 hours from Pokhara. On the way, we can see many traditional villages, fields, terraces and nice landscapes.
Day: 16. Departure to the home destination
According to the flight plan, the final departure will be organized from the hotel. The reporting time for passengers is generally given before 3 hours. We hope, you dear valued guest, you have enjoyed the whole trip with us in Nepal.
